April 6 Last F-111 SDSV Leaves Rosebank Engineering
6 April 2010
After 19 years of overhaul and remanufacture the last F-111 Servo Damper Servo Valve (SDSV) has been completed at Rosebank Engineering using the same Image 3000 test bench originally installed in the (then newly commissioned) class 100 cleanroom at Port Melbourne for this very task. Like most of Rosebank Engineering this bench has changed significantly over the past 2 decades and has evolved to become the prime F/A-18 EHV test stand. Most of the original Rosebank Engineering team have had time working on SDSVs and these little valves have played an important role in establishing Rosebank's specialist capabilities. It is now off to the Rosebank Engineering Amberley branch for build up into the F-111 Damper Unit - one last milestone in the long association with this aircraft.
