Rosebank Engineering - Defence Recognised Supplier Scheme (DRSS) awarded.

30 June 2005

On 9 June 2004 the DoD Director of Industry Programs Mr Rob Hathaway entered into a Deed of Agreement approving Rosebank’s membership into the DRSS scheme and which licenses Rosebank to use the DRSS logo for a period of five years.

The DRSS is aimed at helping Australian defence suppliers export their products and services to foreign markets.

The Scheme allows Australian businesses to use a distinctive logo, featuring a green kangaroo, identifying themselves as approved suppliers to the Australian Defence Organisation (ADO) recognised as a very demanding customer and a well-respected user of advanced military and civil products and services who demand high standards from its suppliers.

The Scheme is open to Australian businesses that have a satisfactory supplier relationship with Defence. The DRSS was launched in June 2001 and continues to grow, as more businesses become aware of its benefits. It is one way that the Commonwealth Government helps globally competitive Australian industry to market itself overseas.

The approval tops a very good year for Rosebank who won the Department of Defence inaugural Defence ScoreCard Award as joint Australian Top contractor in June 2003.
